The DNN community is alive and well and the Spiffy Web Team is actively involved. There have been lots of changes that are detailed in a blog post found here:

The next big community event will be DNN Summit in Denver. The dates are January 18 - 23. Take a look at the DNN Summit Website for all the details including a Code-a-Thon, Training Day, the main Summit event and then an opportunity to hit the slopes with other DNNers.
